Born and farm raised in rural Vermont along with cows, horses, chickens,dogs, cats, and an assortment of other animals, I graduated from high school in 1972. I have held continuous jobs since the age of 17 (slaved away prior to that on the family dairy farm and in the family business) and received my AAS in Mortuary Science from HVCC in Troy, NY in 1981. Worked in the funeral business prior to that and until moving to Las Vegas in 1985.
Attended UNLV with BS in Education. Member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, the International Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Omnicron Pi National Honor Society. Worked for Scenic/Skywest/Delta Airlines for eleven years starting as baggage handler and ending up as VP of Customer Service in the Southwest.
Later taught at a local Post-secondary school offering AAS, BS, and BA degree's. Also owned and operated a software engineering business focused on designing, writing and implementing software solutions for large corporations.
Founder, , volunteer, wish-grantor, Treasurer, VP, and twice President of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada (8 years) as well as a Board Member of the Community Counseling Center of Las Vegas (both 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations.)
Currently a writer and blogger, living in Las Vegas, NV. and dedicated to ending Teen Suicide resulting from bullying, teen homelessness and the politics of our degrading society.
