Apple remove so-called gay cure app after 150,000 sign petition - PinkPaper.com

HOT OFF THE PRESS!  YOUR VOICE DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS
APPLE PULLS CONTROVERSIAL APP FROM i-PHONE

Apple pulls the controversial app from the Christian Organization, Exodus International that supposedly could "help people find freedom from homosexuality through prayer."

After 146,000 people signed a petition telling Apple that this i-phone app would not only cause troubled gay youth more confusion as to their sexuality but would also lead to an increase in teen suicides and bullying as more pressure was put on them to conform to this "conversion by prayer."

Apple initially gave this app a 4+ rating, meaning it contained “no objectionable content”.
In the petition letter sent to Apple chief executive Steve Jobs, supporters said: “Apple doesn’t allow racist or anti-semitic apps in its store, yet it gives the green light to an app targeting vulnerable LGBT youth with the message that their sexual orientation is a ‘sin that will make your heart sick’.
Apple has yet to  issue a statement regarding the pulling of the free app from it's store.
