This figure is so startling and unacceptable that it brings tears to my eyes. Think of the possible contributions any one of these kids could have made to the world...yet the bullying continues. I just don't get it. I see it every day on TV, in the news, on the internet, and in real life. It's not limited to bullying by other teens in school, I'm totally convinced they are the by-products of the adults in this world who foster bullying as a way of life. Formula=push people around long enough + money=get what you want! It takes place in the halls of our own Congress every day as they "debate" bills. It takes place in the home, between countries like the US and in the Middle East where we have no business being bullies. No wonder there are no efforts to stop it in the schools...the examples are being set by the adults and countries of the world. It's always a choice for a group of teens to bully another, but this has gotten so far out of hand that a minority group of gay teens is being wiped out buy their own hands. Something I'm sure many people have no problem with anyway. I just don't get it!
I agree with you completely Barry. You have made excellent points.
