Once again I go off the beaten path and mission to pass along this information to those who are still blindly going about their lives as if nothing was wrong.

I've repeatedly said this over and over, if we as a people do not get out and pay attention to the current politics of the GOP, you, your family, friends, everybody will soon be either reduced to noting more than slaves of the uber rich, the self-appointed kings of domination. We are headed down a dangerous road and evil path that leads to nothing we've ever seen before.

So here, once again, I repeat to everyone...WE ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE! The apathetic and those who don't want to get involved need to wake up. Occupy Wall Street is the only movement that has the opportunity to bring these people down short of another American Revolution. Get involved, read, get on the internet...but don't just blindly walk through the near future thinking that all is well.

Sarah Palin, recent Governor of Alaska (from where Russia is able to be seen) is still collecting money from people thinking she is going to run for president in 2012. Antigay N.C. State Senator Walks Out on Interview

Once again the Republicans have shown their true colors and avoided issues that they supposedly stand behind or sponsor, then squirm and walk out when asked specifics about them. In this story, North Carolina state senator James Forrester, sponsor of a recent bill that approved an anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment to go before voters in May, walked out on a radio interview with Sirius XM's Michelangelo Signorile Tuesday when confronted by the host about the legislation's intent, as well as the senator's history of peddling falsehoods about gay people.

Bryan Fischer, spokesman for the American Family Association, took to his radio show Monday to call on the fifty United States to reinstate laws making homosexuality a criminal offense.

“By the time of the founding until the late 20th Century,” Fischer said Monday, “homosexual activity was a felony offense in the United States of America, there is no reason why it cannot be a criminal offense once again.”

It figures that another Republican would hop on the "divine intervention" wagon and try to hold us hostage to further their agenda of making the rich richer and the rest of us dead!

Wisconsin’s Governor Doesn’t Want Homos Visiting Each Other In Hospitals

In 2009, Wisconsin passed a domestic partnership registry law that provided the right to visit your partner in the hospital. In 2011 Governor Scott Walker wants to abandon that law. Why? Because he’s an asshole Walker says it violates the state’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.

We’ve known about Walker’s plans to dismantle the 2009 law for a while now. You see, since Wisconsin has solved all of its other domestic issues, going after injured homos just makes sense. Luckily, the state’s gay rights group Fair Wisconsin will continue defending the 2009 law.

Minnesota, the home state of (R) Michelle Bachmann, is coming under heavy fire from all sides finally in the Anoka-Hennepin school district. This area, and particularly this school district, has the highest rate of teen suicide in the state. Bachmann, thus far, has not commented or faced the issue in an open forum, deciding instead to wait until the presidential debates where I'm sure she will hopefully be blasted for encouraging and defending legislation and policies that promote hate crimes and gender based violence.

Since mid-2009, six Anoka-Hennepin students have killed themselves. Some have said a lax policy toward antigay bullying is partly to blame. It was in 2009 that the district revised its longstanding policy that stated "homosexuality will not be discussed as a normal or valid lifestyle." The policy was revised to state that "staff in the course of their professional duties shall remain neutral on matters regarding sexual orientation."

It's time she and others of the Republican party who have recently signed onto the Defense of the DOMA Act realized that they are not going to get very far running against the wishes of a majority of the population regarding LGBTQ rights and fair and equal rights for  everyone.

The coalition of Republican candidates signing on with the National Organization for Marriage has just grown by one with the addition of Tim Pawlenty.

The former Minnesota governor had originally appeared to skip the anti–gay marriage pledge, with TheWall Street Journal  reporting that he preferred to use his own words rather than sign pledges. But if Pawlenty suddenly changed his mind after NOM singled him out for criticism, he's not copping to the flip-flop.

"They had a deadline that we couldn't meet because of the governor's travel schedule, so we told them that," a spokesman for Pawlenty told  Politico. "When the governor reviewed it, he wanted to sign it and we told the group that, even though their deadline had passed."

Pawlenty now joins Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney in signing the pledge. The only gay candidate for the nomination, Fred Karger, said they've opted to associate the presidency with a shady group.

This is an extremely new, but inevitable thought...one that I've been thinking and talking about for some time now. I believe that this country, now led and owned by the GOP and backed by corporate greed and lobbyists, will soon become known as a Third World country and will be replaying history with a civil war. Americans' confidence in government is at an all-time low with an estimated 80-82% of the people dissatisfied with their congressional representatives and Washington politics. In some ways it might be the best thing that could happen, but in other ways, it could be the worst. We are already at war in more countries than we ever have in the past, we have a president that supports Republican ideologies behind the backs of the people who elected him believing that he would keep his promises to make changes in Washington politics that would be favorable to the American people, and now we are more in debt to China than ever before in history. There is little to feel good about in recent months except that LGBTQ rights have advanced somewhat. But I feel, as many do, that those rights will be short-lived with extreme right-wing "religious" zealots such as Michelle Bachmann in the running for president.

Our country is now governed by the rich one percent and is being led down a path of self-destruction that, as this article talks about, will eventually lead to a repeat of one of the worst times in our history...the bloody rebellion of the people against a well equipped, well funded group of corporations (a.k.a. our government).

All of this is like watching a well staged  play as it moves forward faster and faster towards an uncertain future. This is the legacy we intended to leave our children?

Truthout.org does an article, selecting a GOP hypocrite of the week award. This week their selection was about Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Illinois), one of the more media-prolific Tea Party Republicans is using every media avenue recently to draw attention away from his own fiscal irresponsibility issues and direct his tirades towards the Obama administration.

In an article from the Suntimes, it is quite evident that either this extremist is another of the mentally challenged politicians (along with Michelle Bachmann), or he is among that group of not-so-rare political hypocrites, skirting around the very same laws he is so vehemently is trying to impose on others.

In a previous blog we reported that Bachmann has an increasing amount to answer for. Mother Jones broke a story this week about the "teen suicide epidemic" in Bachmann's district. Nine teenagers have died during the last two years, and some parents are directly assigning blame to Bachmann.

“I feel if I hadn't moved to this district my daughter wouldn't have died,” one mother told Mother Jones.

A photojournalist with TV station WQAD in Moline, Ill., said his station has evidently been cut off from Bachmann in retribution for an anchor just asking about whether so-called reparative therapy, aimed at turning gay people straight, is offered by her clinics. As Bachmann dodged the question (following her "MO"), behind the scenes, WQAD staff members say, her representatives were threatening to end the interview if the anchor asked follow-up questions. Six minutes into the interview, raw video posted by the station appears to show the feed being cut off. And when WQAD photojournalist Chuck McClurg tried to get an interview with Bachmann this weekend, he says he was told by a staffer that "due to the interview last week WQAD would not have an interview."

I think sooner or later this "fly-by-night" outfit will pass...Bachmann just doesn't represent the American people, their wishes and their needs and apparently doesn't feel the need to. I think that most people would like to separate politics, religion, and Bachmann in this case. It will be interesting if she makes it to the debates and she is forced to answer these questions. I don't believe that she or her staffers will be able to cut off the station from broadcasting then.

Worth watching just to see her squirm!

Md. Marriage Opponents: We’ll Succeed in a Referendum | News | The Advocate

Faced with a new marriage equality coalition and a governor who is backing such rights for same-sex couples, some gay marriage opponents in Maryland say they are preparing for a voter referendum should a bill pass in next year's legislative session.

I have a hard time understanding such vehement opposition to equality among people of all colors, sexual orientation, and other minorities. It seems that this is all they have to do in their mundane lives is to push their religious views on others, assuming theirs are the only correct and moral ones. I believe in God personally, but I don't believe that's it's my position to force others through legislation to believe the same thing I do. That's what most of these groups are seeking to do, especially at the moment in Maryland where once again, the issue of same-sex marriage is up for a possible vote. Who gives these groups such permission to set the values for others? Then again, who are many of their constituents and how do they reconcile the high rate of divorce, philandering, open relationships and abuse of children against the hate they generate for the gay community? It's like talking to a wall, or in politics lately, a Republican Senator or Representative. No logic, no common sense, no sense of fairness...my way or the highway!

Whether this is just another rumor or not, it seems that hypocrisy still reigns as the game of the day for politicians and the "untouchables" alike. The more we can "out" these idiots from their entrenched and high paying hiding places the more of what's right about America can be taken back for the people. 

I don't know if this is true or not, but if it is (and I hope it is), "another one bites the dust"...one at a time!
