"A Christian GP has been sacked as a government drugs adviser after his
contributions to a study linking homosexuality to paedophilia were
discovered," reports Lyndsey Clark of the Pinkpaper.com.
In a past blog I mentioned that it has been my impression (and personal experience) that most homophobes' assumption is that if you are gay, you are a pedophile. Yet I have found no studies or links justifying such a hypothesis. Only perceptions in the minds of the fearful homophobic that, like in a science experiment gone awry, the conclusion was made BEFORE the experiment was performed. This man, in a position of some power, used his "Christian" views to affect a report attempting to link the above together.
"Dr Hans-Christian Raabe was stripped of his role on the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs after he failed to reveal his stance on homosexuality when he was originally interviewed for the post.
According to The Telegraph, Dr Raabe was reportedly asked during the recruitment process whether he had anything from his past, professional or personal, that may bring embarrassment to the advisory panel or the government.
Due to the fact he failed to reveal his involvement in a 2005 scientific paper, which sought to demonstrate that there were a “disproportionately greater number of homosexuals among paedophiles”, Dr Raabe was dismissed and the search for a new adviser will begin shortly."
